The principal bioinformatics technologies developed and offered by ALMA Bioinformatica include:

  • DNA microarrays - bioinformatics systems for the management and analysis of the information required by and generated during microarray experimentation. These include systems for the design of microarray experiments and also the SOTA clustering methodology, patented by ALMA.

  • Information extraction - highly effective statistical based systems for automatically identifying and extracting biological knowledge and references from the literature relevant to the experiment in hand.

  • Protein structure prediction - advanced methods developed in-house have been combined with external technology to produce highly effective prediction methodologies, which have been widely used and tested in structure prediction meetings worldwide.
